WHAT ARE PROTECTION LEVELS?

AERON/TPU Protection Levels indicate how effective an inner tube’s puncture protection, reliability, and durability are.

These parameters are regularly tested in our in-house laboratory. Using ten different test methods*, we simulate real-world riding and environmental conditions and benchmark our tubes against comparable butyl products.

* Roller dynamometer, puncture test, penetration test, air retention test rig, geometric measurement, installation test, valve impact test, oven test, burst pressure test, field test

WHICH PROTECTION LEVELS DOES AERON/TPU OFFER?

AERON/TPU rates its Protection Levels on a scale from 1 to 6.

Level 2 represents the standard performance of a comparable butyl tube, while Protection Level 6 indicates an inner tube many times safer, more durable, and more reliable than an equivalent butyl product.
