AERON/TPU – the perfect e-bike bicycle tube
The biggest hassle a bicycle tube can cause is a flat tire, especially when you're out on an e-bike. E-bikes are much heavier, so you can't simply flip them over, and the drivetrain connection to the rear wheel is often so intricate that changing the wheel becomes a real challenge. Displays and control units can also get damaged easily in the process. To avoid these headaches, you should choose AERON/TPU tubes — they are much more puncture-resistant than traditional butyl tubes, especially against sharp objects. They're also lighter and can be packed more compactly, making them an ideal spare to carry with you.
Your performance also benefits from an AERON/TPU bicycle tube. Rolling resistance is much lower, meaning more of the power you generate goes directly to the road. If you want more comfort or grip, TPU tubes can be ridden at lower tire pressures without damaging the tube. (Tubes with a Schrader valve also fit holes originally designed for a Dunlop valve.) If you're unsure which tube size fits your tire you can check the inch and millimeter measurements on the tire sidewall and compare them with the specs on the AERON/TPU tube packaging, or consult the ETRTO chart.
